Daniel Alves Expected To Be Sidelined For Four Weeks.
Barcelona 1-0 win over Bilbao at San Mames will be costly. Dani Alves stated suffered a groin injury after undergoing a medical examination today, Monday (24/08). Former Sevilla defender was pulled out of the field in the 19th minute.
Alves is expected to be pulled over for a month. Brazilian defender following a Neymar, Adriano Correia, and Douglas Periera who first entered the treatment room.
"Tests show that the Brazilian suffered a groin injury in the first round match at San Mames," read a club statement as reported on the official website fcbarcelona.com.
Alves will miss the four games against Barca in La Liga Malaga, Atletico Madrid, Levante, Celta, as well as the first game of the Champions League group stage.
Besides Alves, Barcelona is also feared by Sergio Busquets conditions. Spanish international midfielder was replaced Marc Bartra at minute 68. However, Busquets revealed no serious injury to his ankle and could recover in the near future.
